- Well, the Portland _Oregonian_, being yet another mindless franchise of
- the Gannett (or was it Newhouse - doesn't matter) chain, published an
- interview (Sunday, 12/20/92) with a Portand resident who's a native
- Somali: his repsonse to the Khat question was (i don't have the clipping,
- but this is close), "...that's the Hollywood point of view - Khat is like
- coffee, something you do with neighbors or to help stay awake."
