  36. Well, the Portland _Oregonian_, being yet another mindless franchise of
  37. the Gannett (or was it Newhouse - doesn't matter) chain, published an
  38. interview (Sunday, 12/20/92) with a Portand resident who's a native
  39. Somali: his repsonse to the Khat question was (i don't have the clipping,
  40. but this is close), "...that's the Hollywood point of view - Khat is like
  41. coffee, something you do with neighbors or to help stay awake."
  42.  
  43. i know how nasty i get after (1) a morning without coffee or (2) a day
  44. with too much, so maybe the marins oughta watch out for ME......
