  26. Nux vomica is not strychnine alone - it is a mixture of alkaloids.

  28. The uses I have seen listed were as a stimulant or (more often) as a tonic.

  30. However, you are still supporting Steve's contention. I doubt if anyone would
  31. take a pain killer as an aphrodisiac - they would want a stimulant, of some
  32. sort.
