  32. OK, sad lack of precision here on my part. There are *no* catatonic
  33. schizophrenics any more (in the developed world, anyway), courtesy of the
  34. major tranquilizers used to obviate the symptoms of  schizophrenia.
  35. However, you will find that every inner-city institution will have at least
  36. one LSD-precipitated schizophrenic on its books, along with a few
  37. PCP-precipitated phycoses and so on. The catatonia is relieved by the
  38. chlorpromazine etc. BTW, there is a huge difference between catatonic
  39. schizophrenic and vegetative (maybe not to look at, but in mechanisms and
  40. so on...).
