  17. What follows is a summary of everything that has happened in the two
  18. J.J. Faust stories I have written.  "Ode to Joy" and "Joy and the Art
  19. of Motercycle Maintenance."  They both have been entirely written by
  20. myself (tho I keep telling people they can help if they want) with
  21. some cursory input from Liralen Li, Croyd Crimson, Kip G. Moore, and
  22. Jim "Man-of-Many-Blinking-Lights-and-Beeping-Sounds" Gaynor.

  24. A lot of this story was written just to write and, as the second J.J.
  25. Faust story comes to a close, I'll possibly explain what happened.

  31. CORPERATE FILE 113-493: Juliane Josephine Armand Faust
  32. STORY PRECIS

  34. J.J. Faust is a woman of coincidence, manipulated by a man named Major
  35. Rednix to gain, as some sort of comodity, herself and a pendant.  The
  36. pendant had been an effect on her, turning her from her gemology job and
  37. Masters degree, to running drugs and black market goods for party drugs
  38. and the chance to live (and party) hard.
  39.  
  40. Wasp was Rednix's errand-boy, an ex-street gang kid who traded his
  41. life to Rednix for a pair of high-security military Cybereyes.  His
  42. job was to collect data on Faust, but he became awed by her unusual
  43. behavior of intellect and animalism.
  44.  
  45. Faust learned she was being controled soon after killing Rednix and
  46. five other women in a rage of selfish glory.  She was brought out by
  47. finding a peice of her own true art - a necklace she had a hand in
  48.  
  49. into the bay.

  51. Wasp inherited Rednix's underground empire and discovers how twisted it
  52. truly is.  He takes a break and goes hunting after his unusual
  53. obsession: J.J. Faust.
  54.  
  55. J.J. had brought her life back together again, with the help of a
  56. drug, 'Liquid Apathy', until the man whose party she killed Rednix at
  57. gives her a promotion to apprentice designer for the jewelry company. 
  58. There she meets a number of very ecclectic designers, including one,
  59. Suz, who warns her to "stay Innocent, for someone's got to be Innocent
  60. when the Unicorn comes."
  61.  
  62. Wasp meets Vit, a German hitman who has sought out the woman who
  63. killed the infamous Major Rednix, a woman only known as "Faust."  Wasp
  64. lies to keep J.J. safe from death and to have very good help in
  65. getting to her.  Vit eventually finds out and threatens, many times,
  66. to kill Wasp until they both find out more is going on than just J.J.
  67. being mistaken for an international killer.
  68.  
  69. J.J. finds herself fondly courted by Patrick Mivlosk, a handsome man
  70. who works in the building's administration.  At a party of his, she
  71. suffers slight amnesia as a fire broke out and she fell down the
  72. stairs, badly brusing herself in the rush for the exits.  Suz, when
  73. J.J. returns to work, is disgusted.  J.J.'s boss sets her up in a new
  74. apartment/flat for an incredible deal.  We, the readers, know that
  75. J.J. was actually a part of some kind of ritual and was wounded badly
  76. from the violence.

  78. Faust goes out into a countryside park to reflect and to dance and
  79. discovers a small boy whose father has been missing for a while and
  80. wants Faust's help, as a 'faerie', to help find him.  She agrees, too
  81. happy to think how she's going to do this.

  83. She finds a note at work next morning from a man named 'Wasp' to meet
  84. concerning people who are trying to kill her.  She goes to meet him
  85. and discovers Patrick, warning of "a blond kid and a german" wanting
  86. her life.  Wasp and Vit watch this discussion from a distance, Wasp
  87. being outraged, and they go off to plan.

  90. This is where we pick up the story again.  Confused?  Quick recap:

  92. J.J. Faust is being controlled.  She doesn't know it.  Wasp and Vit
  93. do, but are being held away by men with guns and lots of power.  The
  94. word "magic" hasn't entered the scene yet, but you sure as hell bet
  95. it's going to eventually.  J.J. Faust is in deep trouble.
