  85. Dear folks,

  87. As you may already know, a severe earthquake struck the Indonesian island 
  88. of Flores and the surrounding islands at 1.30 p.m. local time on Saturday 
  89. (12 December, 1992) and measured 6.8 on the Richter scale. It was followed 
  90. by several aftershocks and tidal waves of up to 25 meters which travelled 
  91. 300 meters inland. The island of Babi was temporarily submerged under a
  92. tidal wave. The death toll is more than 4000 and rising. 40,000 people 
  93. have been affected. The main town of Maumere has been totally destroyed.
  94. The center of the earthquake was located under the Sabu Sea (reported on 
  95. 12/17/1992).

  97. Regarding a huge disaster experienced by thousands people at Flores and 
  98. the surrounding islands, we ask you for giving some release by sending your 
  99. donation to the victims. To present your humanitarian aid in cash, for 
  100. those who reside in the U.S. please send your personal cheque or cashier 
  101. cheque, and for those who reside outside the U.S. please send your
