- George Lucas has admitted to being heavily influenced by the Lensmen series,
- for the Star Wars series. To adapt "Lensmen" now, would result in a lot
- of cries of plagarism, since so much of it is so familiar to viewers from
- Lucas. Exactly what happened when the Anime version of "Lensman" hit the
- theatres.
- This is probably more of a factor against it, than it being "Out of vogue".
