  11. howdy, folks.  i need help/information desperately!  i'm writing my  
  12. bachelor's thesis on hanif kureishi(my beautiful laundrette, london kills  
  13. me) and could really use whatever trivia and information any of you could  
  14. give me.  in particular, i'd appreciate comments on stephen frears, derek  
  15. jarman, and the "alternative" film and art community in the thatcher 80's.   
  16. does anyone know of any movies based on james baldwin novels, or about  
  17. herr baldwin?  thanks for your help!
