- Hi,
- I'm from Singapore. At a recent computer fair, I came across a
- certain card known as the "Chinese Star". It costs S$545 (the current
- exchange rate of S$ is 1 sterling pound to about S$2.60). With this
- card, I was told, you will be able to type Chinese words on programmes
- like MS Word and MS Excel. Unfortunately, you need to have a good
- command of the Hanyu Pinyin in order to be able to use the programme.
- This is because while using this programme, you first type the Hanyu
- Pinyin of the word you want and a list of words with the particular
- Hanyu Pinyin will appear for you to choose.
- I'm sorry to be unable to tell you which company produced it
- because the price was beyond my budget. Perhaps you can ask those who
- are more familiar with new products.
- Good Luck in searching for the Chinese Star!!
