- I am curious to know if, given the history of boomerangs, anyone reading this
- group has done any hunting with a rang? I would be interested in hearing
- about your experiences, techniques, and 'rangs used.
-
- My guess is that the 'rang would have to be a heavier one than the usual one
- most netters have. Perhaps I am wrong? I know there are accuracy contests
- in the tournaments. Is this at a paper target or is it just the accuracy of
- the return that is contested? Or both? It seems that this is a contest that
- might be based on the hunting heritage of the rang. Am I right?
-
- Also, everyone is aware (I THINK) of the use of 'rangs by the Australian
- aborigines. Any one got any information, book titles, etc. on the North
- American Indian's use of the 'rang? I have heard second hand about their
- possible use, but seem to have trouble getting concrete leads. I will be
- talking to someone over the next few days about this, but any help or leads
- you netters can provide would be much appreciated.
-
- Best regards & many happy returns!
