  23. These (and other "finings" like Irish Moss) work by bonding with
  24. proteins in beers, making the proteins too heavy to stay in solution,
  25. so they settle out. This is done before final packaging, so the
  26. disgusting additives are left out, with the haze-causing proteins.

  34. As someone else suggested, learn about various beer ingredients by at
  35. least perusing a book on homebrewing. Making your own is a worthwhile
  36. pastime.
