- First, let me describe the system.
-
- I'm running PCBoard 14.5a/2 on an 80386DX 33 MHz with Frontdoor 2.02(?) and
- X00 1.24. I have Adaptec's 2 SCSI drivers (ASPI2DOS.SYS and ASPIDISK.SYS) in
- memory, ANSI.SYS, and Hitachi's CD-ROM driver (HITACHIA.SYS). A good portion
- of my files are compressed with PKLITE 1.03, and I use MS-DOS 4.01.
-
- The problem is, the system periodically crashes with the error:
-
- Invalid COMMAND.COM
-
- Cannot load COMMAND, system halted
-
- It does this when exiting doors (especially QuickBASIC doors, but not
- exclusively) and when exiting regular programs.
-
- I tried installing a new copy of COMMAND.COM but that didn't seem to help.
-
- Does anyone have a clue what's going on? This crashing is becoming VERY
- annoying.
