  23. The Jones must be Marc Edmund Jones. According to Sakoian and Caulfield,
  24. in Astrological Patterns, a bucket pattern is as follows:

  26. "In this pattern all the planets but one are in one half of the chart.
  27. The single planet plays an important part in this patterning. The Bowl
  28. part retains the same meaning as the Bowl chart -- that is, individuals
  29. feel they have something to contribute to others."

  31. "The handle planet acts as a focusing agent and indicates the way
  32. individuals will offer their contribution. The position of the
  33. handle is important in this pattern. If the handle is located
  34. before the midpoint of the opposition, these individuals have a
  35. cautious, self-conscious approach to life. If the handle is
  36. exactly on the midpoint of the opposition, these individuals can be 
  37. overbearing and at times cruel in their expression. If the
  38. handle planet is located past the midpoint of the opposition,
  39. these individuals can respond in a rash, impulsive manner."

  42. of expression that must have an outlet. This outpouring is so intense
  43. at times that these individuals fail to have the proper concern for
  44. themselves, their resources, or the effect that their actions may
  45. have on others."

  47. "At best, this Bucket Pattern indicates the teacher or person who
  48. inspires and directs others. At its worst, this pattern can
  49. produce an individual with aggravating propensities. In all cases
  50. these individuals live life with a great deal of zest."

  52. "Occasionally a Bucket Pattern is found with a handle containing
  53. two planets. For the handle to be valid the planets in conjunction
  54. should be within one degree orb. In this type of Bucket handle,
  55. the individual alternates between two expressions based on the 
  56. principles involved in this type of conjunction. Alternating
  57. expression is activated by the transiting planets."

  59. The example they show has all planets but the Moon between 16 Scorpio
  60. and 18 Taurus -- all in one half of the chart. The Moon is at 26 Sag,
  61. and forms the "handle." The planets spread throughout one half of
  62. the chart are the bucket itself. To form a bucket, the planets
  63. must be bracketed by two planets in opposition. Their midpoint
  64. is what these authors are calling the "midpoint of the opposition."
