-
- Not too late: the laterite plugs that Aquarium Products sells work very well
- for me.
-
- I recently tore my 100g down completely and rebuilt it and I noticed
- that the plant roots were heading towards the plugs or were very
- large were the plugs were nearby. The tank was about a year old,
- heavily planted, CO2 fertilization, etc. The plugs were almost completely
- dissolved - I guess a year is about how long they may last.
-
- I was very generous with the plugs - I put about 4 packs (10/pack I think)
- in the 100g. The plugs are cyclindrical, about 1" in diameter and about
- 1" long.
-
- No matter how careful you are, these will cloud the water for a few days,
- then they are well behaved.
