- (Our host runs VMS 5.5-1 and UCX 2.0)
-
- ftp works fine as long one uses only VMS file systems (and syntax).
- For ftp'ing a UNIX file to VMS you can explicitly name the file new:
- GET "UNIX.File!.NAME" unix_file_.name
-
- but this doesn't work automaticly with the MGET command.
- I often want to "download" a whole directory from a UNIX Host to VMS (RMS
- native, no posix container-file!). I would really like to have a feature
- which would allow me to do a wildcard GET with automatic replacing of (RMS)
- illegal characters to "_"
-
- I experimented with a tpu-front-end for ftp, but before I do a lot of
- programming by myself, doese anyone have a solution for this problem?
- Or is it only a problem for me and all others are satisfied with the
- current implementation...?
