  13. We have the CMU/TEK TCP/IP package running on our VAX cluster. We are  running
  14. Pathworks for VMS with DECnet, without problem. We wished to try out the TCP/IP
  15. option of Pathworks and installed the files on the server without problem.

  17. The problem is that the NBNS TCP Netbios process crashes upon startup claiming
  18. it can't find the hostname. DEC's answer is to use their UCX product as the
  19. TCP/IP layer. Does anyone else have experience of getting Pathworks TCP/IP to
  20. work with products other than UCX?
