  13. We tried using the NFS distributed with the V6.6 tape from about a year ago.

  15. We have not been able to get NFS to work reliably.  I agree with C. Strickland's comments on performance.  In addition, we have seen the NFS server repeatedly
  16. abort under load and on two occasions our system fatally bug-checked.

  18. The mechanism for mapping uid/gid to username is more limiting for security
  19. purposes than I like (note that in our case we are also using Process Software's
  20. TCP/IP package and their NFS security is implemented in the same manner.  I
  21. don't know about any other packages.)
