- Sherry Graham will give an introductory overview of why
- electronic mail is important and the need for it to be
- ubiquitous across university and corporate campuses.
- Sherry will make the case for the need to extend email
- out to all points of a large campus environment, and the
- need for it to be easy to use and functional.

- Following Sherry's introduction to the topic key individuals
- from each of the large university campuses in the Research
- Triangle area will present the work going on at their
- respective campuses to meet the goals that Sherry has
- outlined.

- Rob Carter will provide an overview of the planning process
- that the Hermes Project committee at Duke University has gone
- through, with emphasis on the tripartisan nature of the Group
- and the conceptual framework they have agreed upon for their
- work.

- Same Moore of NCSU will talk about where they are now. Sam will
- give some statistics, present some projects that they have
- been working on and will conclude with information about NCSU's
- recent Email Task Force and its findings and recommendations.

- Paul Jones of UNC-CH, as chairman of the campus Electronic mail
- task force will present the work of that committee and the
- directions and challenges facing the Chapel Hill campus.

- The talk will conclude with an open answer and question session
- between the audience and the four presenters.
