  12. The Fourth ASME Symposium on Advanced Automotive Technologies will be held in
  13. conjunction with the 1993 ASME Winter Annual Meeting in New Orleans, Louisiana on
  14. November 28 to December 3, 1993.  The Symposium is jointly sponsored by the
  15. Transportation Panel and Fluid Control Systems Panel of the Dynamic Systems and
  16. Control Division and the Vehicle Design Committee of the Design Engineering
  17. Division.

  19. Papers are invited on original investigations related to automotive and
  20. truck systems.  Specific topics of interest include, but are not limited to: 
  21. Simulation, modelling, control, dynamics, design, performance characteristics, 
  22. directional control and stability, ride, IVHS, crash worthiness, occupant 
  23. protection, collision avoidance, structural analysis, vibrations, fatigue, and 
  24. optimization for automotive and truck systems.

  26. Authors are invited to submit a 500 word summary indicating problems addressed,
  27. work performed, and results and conclusions reached.  Three copies should be sent
  28. to either:

  38. by January 29, 1993.  Authors will be notified of acceptance of the summary by
  39. February 19.  If accepted, three copies of the complete paper should be submitted
  40. to the same address by March 12, 1993.  Final acceptance for presentation and
  41. publication will be based on review of the full-length papers.  The selected
  42. papers will be published in an ASME bound volume.

  44. Authors are additionally encouraged to concurrently submit manuscripts to the
  45. ASME journal of their choice.
