- In our local paper there has been talk of detecting Il-legal cable TV
- descrablers from outside the home. I can think of two possible ways
- this can be done but there may be others.
-
- 1) use a sensitive spectrum analyzer to find out which channel
- is being watched by looking at the local oscillator freq.
-
- 2) modulate a signal into the channels which aren't part of
- basic and when these pay channels are watched the signal would be
- radiated out the picture tube and detected.
-
- If anyone knows if any of the above methods are used or how
- this is done could you reply to the net ? I'm sure many others out
- there will be interested.
