  16. I've had excellent luck dealing with Digi-Key.

  18. Re Allied - I haven't dealt with them directly, but did purchase some
  19. chips and other goodies from Hall-Mark (Allied's parent company).  It
  20. was less convenient than dealing with Allied - Hall-Mark shipped COD so
  21. I had to cut a check for them and have it waiting at the front desk...
  22. but I got everything I ordered in a timely fashion.  Since Allied can (I
  23. was assured) special-order any part which Hall-Mark carries, I'll
  24. probably order through them next time.
