- I want to build a digitally controlled audio mixer. It should have
- for each channel 3 tone controls, sound level, balance, monitor level
- so the digitally variable resistor chip has to be cheap.
-
- I have been looking at X9MME and X9CMME. It is a 8 pin DIL with 99
- resistors and is controlled by three pins, step, up/down and chip select.
- The main advantage is that it is small in size. The disadvantage is
- that it can't be set to a absolute value or be read. It costs $10 each
- in sweden so the cost is a bit to high.
-
- Another solution would be to use a DA converter together with a voltage
- controlled level control chip.
-
- Any suggestions of other parts?
