- I would like to ask a question on behalf of a friend without news
- access. He is looking for more information on a standard used
- in barcoding called "FACT-1 Data Identifier Standard", it is
- referenced by the draft ANSI standard MH10.8M-199X. The ANSI
- standard explains only 6 of these identifiers (which are used as
- prefixes to other codes, and identify what the remainder of
- the code means).
-
- FACT stands for "Federation of Automated Coding Technologies", and
- they are based in Pittsburgh, PA. A call to directory assistance
- resulted in a number with a "sorry our voice mail system is
- full" message !
-
- If anyone can shed any light on this standard, preferably
- in electronic form, I'd appreciate it (actually, my friend
- would appreciate it more !)..
-
- Thanks,
