- I read Popular Communications like the bible but i couldn't
-
- tell you why. It's just an awesome magazine.
-
- I like Popular Electronics because the projects are SIMPLE to
-
- build and CHEAP.
-
- I like Radio Electronics/Electronics Now because it's just like
-
- Pop Elec. Sometimes they run the same articles as Pop Elec. and
-
- even pull some from QST from time to time.
-
- QST projects are usually too expensive and complicated for me. Although
-
- I don't miss the "headlight reminder" type projects.
-
- But if you want to know what's out there in the market for Amateur
-
- equipment, you can't beat their devoting 1/2 of every issue to
-
- advertisements.
-
- My other favorite subs. are :
-
- Stereo Review: Very objective product reviews, A manufacturers
- magazine (some say thats good, some bad). Good magazine to buy
- if your interested in getting into high-end (expensive) audio gear.
-
- Audio: Only good for their annual product directory.
-
- Car Audio and Electronics: Wicked cool articles on pro
- installations. Being a part-time installer, it gives mea good idea
- of what I'm shooting for. Excellent product reviews.
