- I am trying to get some surplus parts that I recently bought to work as a
- home security system. I am using a RADIONICS Omegalarm D1112 system with
- the wall controller (a keypad that controls it..). At first, I couldn't
- get it to stop alarming, then, I got it to go to a state of "NOT READY
- TO ARM" by putting 1K Ohm resistors across all the zone inputs (as the
- schematic on the unit showed, and applying a Low to the Disable/Reset input.
- Then it says "Preparing to arm... Not ready to arm"... (which may be because
- I am powering it from it's alternate power source right now...) But when
- it is working, how do I change the code or enter a new one???? It keeps asking
- for the old code (to silence the alarm), and I don't have this.... Is it
- hard-coded on a chip when it is reset or does it default to some easy
- to use number... Any ideas????
