  12. It's worth mentioning that some of us who use threaded newsreaders
  13. such as trn don't realize how annoying excessive cross-posting is
  14. to others, particularly if we have both the substantive groups
  15. and the irrelevant ones in our active base.

  17. It's more a matter of forming the correct habits than deliberate
  18. offense in most cases. I'm just getting into the habit of checking
  19. the headers when responding to a message, and I'm far from perfect
  20. at it as, I assume, are many others.

  22. Maybe the newsreader software writers should add an extra, optional
  23. question to the dialogue, asking if the writer of a reply wants
  24. to send it to ..... newsgroups, and giving him a chance to correct
  25. the address list.

  27. Or maybe trn and other groups have such a feature, and I just haven't
  28. found it yet.
