- >I've been running the local warm up races for a late January marathon. Three warm

- >Salient info: Yes, I'd run 18+ miles befor the 30K. No, I didn't change my

- As many of us know, running is not an exact science.
- We try to make it scientific, but is it ??
- Sometimes you can do everything right, by the book in preparation for
- a race and still 'bomb' on race day.
-
- Conversely, you can do everything 'wrong' or against the book
- and have a great day- it's sometimes real hard to figure out...
-
- My guess is you were probably a little overtrained- and or over
- distanced when you ran badly.
