-
- I highly doubt it. Sure, Shockwave (the Schwarzkopf double looper) is 15
- years old, but it still remains one of the TOP looping steel coasters in
- the country!! Last time I talked with a SFoT rep, they KNEW this!! SFoT
- offers 4 other major coasters for people to ride, which probably has pulled
- the major crowds away from the attraction, but last few years I've been to
- the park, it's been pretty crowded, even with 2 train operation. Six Flags
- usually only de-installs a ride and puts it into their "ride rotation'
- program when a coaster becomes 'undesirable' -- as I noted, SFoT seem very
- happy with the coaster from a public and maintanence standpoint, and I
- don't think it will be going anywhere soon. I think they would yank the
- Intamin Bobsleds and give them to SFoMA before they would yank the Shockwave.
- The AVALANCHE BOBSLEDS have already been a part of the Six Flags ride rotation
- program.
-
- The Shockwave sits comfortably in my Top 5 coasters, and always shows up in
- Inside Track's Top 30 (whereas rides like the Bobsleds never do).
