- A disconnected vacuum modulator line seems to act to make upshifts happen
- sooner, though that goes against logic. I know I've had lines come off and
- the trans would basically shift right away, so I'd be in third by 20MPH.
- Reconnecting it made things shift later.

- GM TH400 automatics have used electrical kickdowns since the late '60s at
- least. There is no kickdown linkage, just a switch on the gas pedal.
