- It seems that before people start sticking more little gadgets that are
- bound to break eventually with the goal of extending engine life, they ought
- to investigate simpler solutions.

- The first simpler solution I can think of is to add an engine-block heater,
- and to always use it when it's really cold. Apparently most engine wear
- happens during cold starts, and the wear is worse the colder it gets.

- I'm about to have one installed in my 93 Probe, even though Seattle hasn't
- been really cold yet.
