- Heeeelp.
-
- I have a Fuel Injected '87 Pontiac and am having a very strange problem.
- On cold cold mornings (-30 to 20 F) my cars starts up beautifully. If
- I start going, it slips into gear seemlessly and takes off wonderfully.
-
- Now, as soon as the engine warms up to "normal running temperature" I
- get extremely poor preformance and frequent stalling.
-
- A friend suggested the spark plug wires. He said that when it is cold
- the water freezes to ice, but as soon as the engine warms up, the ice
- melts into water and condenses on my bad spark plug wires, thus my
- problem.
-
- Another friend mentioned the PCV.
-
- What do you suggest?
