- Sounds like an alternator problem, since you put in a new battery and it was
- fully charged it would run everthing on its reserve capacity. You said its
- cold so you had the heater fan on, radio, lights etc. All these drain the
- battery so your driving along and then you battery is slowly dieing out until
- the current supply is so low it will not supply juice to the ignition system
- so your engine dies.

- BTW does your car start well on cold mornings mine just stalls on cold
- mornings and I have checked wires, plugs, choke, choke breaker and charging
- system but it always stalls on cold mornings. Mine is a 1982 SR5 coupe
- corolla.
- Has 188000 km.
