  24. Among those I know who feel the need to own a subwoofer, Velodyne seems to come
  25. highly recommended.  Unfortunately, none of these acquaintances understands the
  26. concept of "subtlety," preferring to "show off" the bass capabilities of their
  27. systems, much to the chagrin of those present.

  29. I can't help you with prices, but surely one of the year-end audio catalogs
  30. will, while in most respects useless, at least list retail prices for a variety
  31. of products.
