- Why doesn't the industry just develop brain implants and skip the
- mechanical reproduction of music...just zap that audio signal into the
- grey matter...8-)
-
- Does there not exist affordable designs that encompass the clarity and
- imaging of a planar/electrostatic design with the solidness of a B&W 801, for
- example (I'm partial to the 801's as a 'reference'...)? I entertained some
- of the Mirage M-series bipolars and liked them, but the piano black glossy
- finish surely doubled the price...
-
- B&W DM640/630? Matrix 804? Tannoy 615? Thiel 3.6/2.2? Definitive
- Technologies' BP20? I've listened to these and was generally impressed.
- Any comments out there?
-
- I suppose what I really want is the best of *all* worlds...the perfect
- box, for a great price. I do think that bi/dipolars do provide greater
- imaging, so at least I should limit my search to only those designs. Am I
- wrong on this one?
-
- Perhaps a nice set of headphones...8-)
