- WI=>What are the differences (qualitatively) between Dolby C noise
- =>reduction and dbx noise reduction? I have them both on my home tape
- =>deck. I'm considering buying a new car stereo, and I want to get one
- =>with the best noise reduction (out of the ones that my home deck
- =>supports.)
-
- i don't think you will find a car stereo with dbx has ever been made.
- also, Dolby C car decks are few and far between. make tapes for the car
- with Dolby B unless you have an extremely quiet car.
-
- i'm surprised you don't hear a significant difference in the amount of
- noise reduction with dbx vs Dolby C. dbx is a much more capable NR
- system when used with a good deck. i'll leave the details of the
- difference between the two NR systems to others.
