- Depends a lot, if Philips can prove that for say a comparison of full 16 bit
- rate with PASC 18 bit encoding gets as close to the master regardless of
- either systems flaws then they are of equal quality. In fact, when I first
- heard DCC back in April Philips were claiming it was better than CD because
- it has better signal to noise and dynamic range.

- I did an intresting test recently with a DCC deck and recorded a CD through
- the analogue inputs, the sound was actually slightly clearer from the DCC!
- What I did notice though was an almost subconcious feeling of `holes' in
- the soundfield.
