- As I've said before, I have the same worries about a DAT deck in a car. I
- know that they've been built but I wonder just how long they're going to last.
- Anyone who has opened up a car cassette unit after it's been on the road a few
- years knows what I'm talking about; even in car that's kept clean inside,
- the deck still accumulates LOTS of dust.

- Re a DAT deck, even if this doesn't bother the deck itself, having the
- rotating head contact the tape in a dusty environment can't be good for the
- tape.

- Of course, if they could eliminate the tape loading door, that'd solve the
