- last week I was researching power amps.... I think I've settled on a Bryston
- 4NB at 250W/stereo. Add to that a Mackie 1604....
-
- now the equalizers...
-
- In brief, I'm putting together a stereo system that can also doulbe as PA
- system for my dance band, and also jazz trios. I'm now checking out
- equalizers and think I'm pretty much set on getting two 30 bands, or one
- 60
- band (30 for each channel in other words). The *primary* need for an eq
- in my system is for dubbing tapes, many of which come to me in somewhat
- shoddy sound condition, and which I've been able to *fix* up considerable
- with some modest eq. Does anyone have any pro/con thoughts on:
-
- RANE (micrographic series, seems to have been mentioned to me a few times)
- DBX (been some nice catalog sales prices I've seen)
- FURMAN (only heard about)
-
- any others?
-
- thankx, ...lisa
