- Did occur to me that it might be that Marantz market different parts of
- their range on different sides of the pond. (And, I should probably
- admit that I own a Marantz EQ551 -- gathering dust in the attic -- and
- an SP50 -- in active use.)

- There are certainly cultural differences as well. For another example,
- Technics is much more highly regarded in the UK than it seems to be in
- the US. Not that I'd tack the label high-end onto Technics either, but...
