  20. Yes, Jon, there are other library catalogs available for electronic
  21. access. One of the best ways into them is through Gopher, an Internet
  22. search program. If you don't have Gopher available on any of your
  23. machines, you can connect to the original Gopher server (the Mother of all
  24. Gophers) at the University of Minnesota by following these 2 steps:

  26. 1. telnet consultant.micro.umn.edu
  27. 2. Log in as "gopher"
  28.  
  29. A menu will appear through which you can connect to library catalogs
  30. in Colorado, Nevada, California, even the Library of Congress in
  31. Washington, D.C. You can also gain access to weather information for
  32. North America, files of recipes, sounds to play on your workstation,
  33. and a host of other fun things.
