- Santa has a religous related origin. I think it was about a century
- ago, a priest (or a clergy man) called Nicolus (sp?) saw many poor kids
- having nothing for the Christmas holiday. He started to make them
- gifts and gave to them anonymously (not sure if he dressed in that red
- suit.) So, there is no religous belief per se, but a religous person's
- response to needys.
-
- Today's Santa Claus in the red suit is hardly "care and share". It
- is totally ruined to become a symbol of "I want my gift and that is an
- order."
-
- Oh, yea, about the Santa bill, I would not take it because I have not
- seen any government announcement that it is geniue. I wouldn't want
- to be a sucker, would you?
