- I can sympathize with your plight, having recently purchased a copy of
- a Peter Norton PC book (looked brand new, last copy they had, required
- for a class) only to discover that it had come out before the 486 chip.
- However, you are barking up the wrong tree. It is NOT the publisher's
- fault, it's the book dealers. An out of date edition should be on a
- discount shelf or returned to the publisher. O'Reilly publishes terrific
- books at reasonable prices (for a technical publisher). I suggest you
- harass your book dealer, or buy direct from the publisher.
