  28.    The Animal Rights Alerts mailing list has been set up to
  29.    facilitate communication among Animal Rights groups, activists,
  30.    and other interested individuals.  Its primary purpose is to
  31.    enable rapid dissemination of important information about Animal
  32.    Rights issues.  This venue, it is hoped, will serve as an
  33.    important adjunct to periodicals such as Animals Agenda and
  34.    Animals Voice.

  36.    The list will be unmoderated and will not be available in a digest
  37.    format at present.  Any information pertaining to Animal Rights or
  38.    to issues that relate to Animal Rights, such as habitat
  39.    destruction, are welcome.

  41.    Please realize that this list is a public forum and as such it may
  42.    not be the appropriate place to discuss your group's strategic
  43.    plans.
