- the su-command function looks neat. The request to extend it
- to let you edit files as root is not necessary, however. You can
- use ange-ftp to your localhost as root to do this. This is what I
- do.

- Alternatively, you could hack on emacsclient to pass the
- real and effective uids as well as the filename to edit, and
- then emacsserver could realize the effective uid is not the
- same as the real uid, and (transparently) use ange-ftp as the
- effective uid to get and edit the file.
