- When running Emacs 18.55 not as an X11 client (i.e. in a regular
- terminal session) all is fine, but when it's run as an X client, Emacs
- turns extremely slow.
-
- Emacs is run off VMS 5.5-1 and the display is being opened on a
- Tektronics X terminal which talks to the VAX over DECnet.
-
- This is not a problem when emacs is run within an xterm or DECterm
- window.
-
- Any clues as to why it slows down so much under X?
-
- Thanks,
-
