- Speaking of isearch, when I mis-type a search string in DEMACS and
- use the backspace key to rub the characters out, DEMACS terminates the
- search and erases characters in my edit buffer. This doesn't happen
- on my workstation, where what gets rubbed out are the rightmost
- characters of the string to search on. I know that I had to make some
- adjustments to the backspace key assignment, but I'm not sure how to
- make isearch perform as it does on other machines.
