- Hi, I've got a small security problem.
-
- How do I get a screen locker working for my X terminals?
- When running xlock, it tells me:
-
- xlock: can't lock <displayname>'s display
-
- ...which (notably) is different from the message I get when trying to
- lock a secured display (xlock: unable to open display xxx).
- This leads me (non X guru) into thinking there's something special about
- X terminals apart from the security authorization.
-
- I've browsed the FAQ (kudos to David and the guys for a really great FAQ!)
- but although it answered a lot of my other questions, this one remains
- unsolved.
-
- Any hints are appreciated.

- PS. The terminals are NCD 14c running local X11 (R5, I think), connected
- to a couple of SUN SPARCs.
- DS.
