  15. I think you should look into the Image family of routines in Xlib. The
  16. transfer of the graphic image could be done with XPutImage. Rather
  17. than worrying about the format of a Pixmap (which on the client side
  18. is only an ID, the data is in the server), you should look at
  19. XCreateImage and the format of an XImage.
