- This is characteristic of a SCSI ID problem. It's possible that the
- drive is set to SCSI ID 7, which is reserved for the Macintosh itself.
- If not, it may have the same ID as another SCSI device on the chain,
- or the controller may be bad.

- I would suggest not trying to write to the drive. Aiming for the one
- "in the middle" doesn't work as well with SCSI volumes as with
- participants in drunken brawls. :-)
