  13.   To all those that responded to my request for help in getting
  14. those items compiled and running a very special thanks !  Both
  15. elm and smail are up and running although I am still working at
  16. getting them properly configured.

  18.   I was surprised at the number of responses that were so
  19. consistant - I don't quite feel so bad about not figuring it out
  20. by myself <grin>.
  21.  
  22.   The first "live" test appears to have failed.  Not sure why
  23. yet, but I suspect that it has to with an incorrect smarthost
  24. setup and maybe something to do with carbon copies (cc:) in elm.
  25. More likely the cc in elm.  I sent a message to a local site cc's
  26. to vikki at this system from dixie.  The message was passed to
  27. the designated smart host and then back to vikki@precipice and as
  28. near as I can tell at this time, it didn't make it to the other
  29. local site.  It did look like the primary addressee AND the cc
  30. both ended up on the TO line, but I need to check that as this
  31. systems (precipice) mail reader doesn't do CCs.
  32.  
  33.   The point is that they did get made and are up and working, if
  34. not quite properly configured yet.  Progress !  Maybe dixie will
  35. be fully operational by the end of the year !
