- I'm wondering whether there is a general approach to determine when a particular
- user has been idle for x minutes (no keyboard, mouse, screen i/o), given a
- unix system, running X/Motif. Basically when the user has not done anything
- for a period of time, how can one detect this condition?
-
- Portability is an issue here, but a machine-specific approach would at least
- provide a starting point... (I realize this is likely a pretty tall order,
- given that no kernel mods are possible for doing this.)
